The community is invited to an event to learn more about prescription drugs. Members of the West Parry Sound OPP, Addictions Outreach Muskoka Parry Sound, Community Care Access Centre, North Bay Parry Sound District Health Unit and other partners are hosting the event titled Prescription Opiods and Youth tonight at the Stockey Centre. The event starts with a light dinner at 5:30pm for the first 80 people and then will have information about the dangers surrounding prescription painkillers from a panel of experts and short presentations from Parry Sound High School drama students. The senior drama students will be performing their presentation about to opioid addiction to grades 7-10 students this afternoon.
