Grade seven and eight students at McDougall School will be getting an extra lesson in music. The Festival of the Sound, in partnership with Chamber Factory is presenting a two day long educational program titled “Listen Up” on May 6th and 7th. Throughout the two days the students will be introduced to renowned Canadian Composer Andrew Staniland, and members of the Afiara String Quartet. They will help the students create an original composition based on poetry the kids have already wrote as a part of their in class curriculum.
