The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic School Board is seeing some growth.
After several years of declining enrolment, numbers are increasing within the school board.
The school board has 499 more elementary students and 68 secondary students.
To handle the influx of new students the board has hired over one hundred new staff, including 60 new elementary school teachers and 35 secondary teachers.
The Simcoe Muskoka Catholic School Board has schools in the District of Parry Sound, Simcoe County and Muskoka.
