Mactier hockey player wins Gagarin Cup

A local hockey player has lifted the biggest prize in Russian Hockey.  Chris Lee from Mactier has been playing for the Metallurg Magnitogorsk of the KHL this season and the team won the Gagarin Cup on Wednesday, the Russian equivalent to the Stanley Cup.  Former Maple Leaf Tim Brent and Francis Pare were the only other Canadians on the team coached by Canadian Mike Keenan.
