The West Parry Sound OPP has some tips to stay safe ahead of hunting season.
The OPP stresses the importance of having appropriate hunting licenses and to follow the 2017 Hunting Regulations Summary for 2017-2018.
The public should also only hunt where permitted.
If you’re heading out to hunt this fall the OPP asks for people to wear bright orange.

The police have a number of safety tips for handling firearms during hunting season. They ask all hunters to never shoot unless they are sure of their target. They add to never leave guns unattended.
