After a courageous 6 month battle with cancer Peter passed away at the West Parry Sound Health Centre at the age of 79. Beloved husband of the late Wilma, whom he shared 50 wonderful years of marriage with. Proud father to Barry (Anne), Tim (Kim), Terri and the late Brian. He is survived by his siblings Bill and Millie. Loving grandfather to Amanda, Michael, Daniel, Austin, Autumn, Alyssa and William. He will be missed my many friends and extended family. The family would like to say a special thank you to all the neighbours and the community for their support and love during this time. Friends will be received at the Torrance Funeral Home (89 Bowes Street, Parry Sound) on Friday October 6th, 2017 from 2 – 4 PM & 7 – 9 PM. The Funeral service will be at the St. James United Church (24 Mary St.) on Saturday October 7th, 2017 at 11AM.
