The G.M.H.L. season is underway with the Seguin Huskies kicking off their 2017-2018 season on the road for a pair before coming home for their home opener. The Huskies are on the road Thursday against New Tecumseth and Saturday in Gravenhurst against South Muskoka. The Huskies home opener is Sunday at 2 in Humphrey hosting the Almaguin Spartans. The Spartans lost their season opener 3-2 on the road against West Nipissing last Friday. Â Their home opener is in South River Friday night (7:30 p.m.) against Ville-Marie.
The Parry Sound Islanders ceased operations prior to the season start.
