Local elementary schools are getting ready to welcome future junior and senior kindergarten students and their families. Through the next month, Near North School Board with continued sponsorship from The Learning Partnership, and in collaboration with Early Years community partners, schools are pleased to provide experiences and materials to nurture early learning for each preschool child and family at an upcoming event hosted at each neighborhood school. Every elementary school will be hosting a Welcome to Kindergarten orientation session for families with their children as an opportunity for parents and their children to connect with kindergarten teachers, resource staff and community partners. To register for school this September, children entering Junior Kindergarten must be 4 years old on or before December 31, 2014 and children entering Senior Kindergarten must be 5 years old on or before December 31, 2014.
