Town staff asked to investigate the removal of all meters in Parry Sound

Parking meters will not being in along Bay Street and could be pulled out of town all together.

At last night’s meeting, council heard from a couple of deputations from residents who were concerned with the idea of installing parking meters for fear that it would make the waterfront less beautiful, affect residents and businesses, and hurt tourism.

When the by-law to have the meters installed came up for debate, councillor Keith Saulnier moved to withdraw the item and have staff investigate the idea of removing all meters in Parry Sound.
