Town supports grant application to enhance parmedicine
The Town of Parry Sound supports a grant application to help deal with a healthcare service deficiency in Parry Sound District. Last night, council held a special meeting where Director of Emergency and Protective Services Dave Thompson explained how this grant would help with Paramedicine, a concept of paramedics doing more than just emergency response. Thompson says the grant would help in the rural areas, specifically the Argyle area.
The grant application is due on April 17th and if successful, a resolution will come back to council on how to best utilize the funding.
