Marijuana grow-op busted in South River

Police have recovered over a quarter million dollars worth of pot.  Almaguin Highlands OPP executed a searched warrant of a South River home yesterday and found an indoor marijuana grow operation.  Officers seized a total of 266 plants, growing equipment, and three pounds of marijuana ready for sale.  Police say the street value of all the drugs seized totaled $275,000.  A 72-year-old South River man is charged with production of marijuana and possession of marijuana for the purpose of trafficking.  He’ll face those charged in court at the end of May.
