Parry Sound and Muskoka could see some freezing rain today. Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement as a low pressure system from the southern plains will spread rain into Southern Ontario this morning and then spread northeastward to reach Eastern Ontario this afternoon. Any freezing rain is expected to be light and brief and quickly change to plain rain as temperatures rise above freezing. Parry Sound and area can expect 10-15mm of rain today with a possible thunderstorm this afternoon which could add more rain. Poor driving conditions may develop during the morning commute in areas around Georgian Bay due to patchy freezing rain causing icy roads.
