Local police make huge pot bust

imagePolice in Parry Sound have removed over 30 pounds of pot in one bust.
West Parry Sound OPP were informed from the RCMP that a man was travelling by train from British Columbia to Parry Sound on Tuesday.
When the train arrived in the town of Parry Sound, police located a male that matched the description provided.
Officers from the Crime Unit and the Canine Unit found 33 pounds of marijuana in the man’s luggage.
The 25-year-old from Muskoka Township was arrested and charged with trafficking marijuana over 3 kilograms and failure to comply with probation order.
He was held in custody until a bail hearing and will face his charge at a later date.
