Police are making sure drivers are following the rules of the road.
Last week the OPP, Anishnabek Police, MTO inspectors and Conservation Officers pulled over 500 cars in a RIDE program on Highway 69 near Pointe au Baril.
Officials were looking for people not using seatbelts as well as impaired, aggressive or inattentive drivers.
As a result of the program, police handed out 16 charges.
The OPP is reminding drivers to keep safety in mind on the roads, waterways and trails.
