April is Parkinson’s Awarness month. Parkinson’s is a neurodegenerative disease and there is currently no cure and some people live with Parkinson’s for years. Associate Professor at University of Toronto Dr. Ali Salahpour was the recipient of the 2013 Pedaling for Parkinson’s Research Grant and he’ll speak locally on “Parkinson’s Disease: Towards development of new therapies based on new scientific discoveries!”. Dr. Salahpour will be speaking at the West Parry Sound Canadore College campus on April 8th beginning at 6:30pm. There is no cost, but donations are welcomed.
