The RACH three-pitch tournament is coming back this summer.
The charity tournament is taking place in Kinsmen Park on June 16 and 17.

The tournament was founded by Dr. Rachel Higgins in 2004 after her cancer diagnosis. The funds raised at the first charity tournament were donated to Dr. Jonathan Irish, one of the surgeons that took care of her during treatment.

Dr. Higgins passed away in 2005, soon after her brother Aaron was also diagnosed.
After his diagnosis and treatment, Aaron Higgins enrolled in medical college, was working in Parry Sound by 2014.
His cancer caught up with him however and he passed away this winter.

All money raised at the tournament will go to Cancer Care at the West Parry Sound Health Centre. Any money donated on-line through the organization’s website will go to Dr. Jonathan Irish’s research.
