Slippery roads have school buses cancelled today

Buses in East and West Parry Sound are cancelled this morning.  The Nipissing Parry Sound Student Transportation Service has cancelled all buses due to slippery road conditions which are expected to get worse later today.  Bus corridors cancelled include Britt and Nobel, McDougall, Ahmic Harbour, and Whitestone, Mactier, Humphrey, and Rosseau, the Town of Parry Sound, and all of East Parry Sound.  Moose Deer Point First Nation buses, Wasauksing school buses, Shawanaga buses, and the Bus to St. Dominic’s in Bracebridge are also cancelled this morning.  Schools remain open for students who can get there safely with the exception of William Beatty which is closed because of repairs.  Parents are reminded that cancelled buses will not run in the afternoon so students going to school today need safe transportation home at the end of the day.
