It’s time to revisit the threshold to the sunshine list says Mayor Jamie McGarvey.
On Friday the salary of any public sector employee making more than $100 000 was released to the public.
In Parry Sound, one more employee was added to the list. Trevor Pinn, the director of Finance and POA Court Services was added to four other names from the town of Parry Sound to the sunshine list.
They join 12 West Parry Sound Health Centre employees, as well as town employees from the Archipelago, Seguin, Mckellar, Whitestone and Carling.
In a statement Parry Sound Mayor McGarvey said the threshold for the sunshine list hadn’t been raised in the 20 years since it was created, and that it was time the $100 000 threshold should be looked at.
