The Forest Street reconstruction project is hoping to get started this year. Many residents came out to the BOCC last night to see what the plan looks like and ask questions. Town of Parry Sound Director of Operations Peter Brown gave a timeline for the project.

The project includes replacing the watermain, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, manhole structures, roads, sidewalks, and even a bike path.

The entire project is around $4 million and the town received funding through Infrastructure Ontario for 90 percent of it. This will be the first major construction work done on Forest Street since the 1960’s.
