OPP reminds snowmobilers to obey the law

Snowmobilers are being cautioned to obey the law.  This past weekend, Southern Georgian Bay OPP conducted snowmobile patrols on trails and ice surfaces in the Townships of Tay, Georgian Bay and Tiny.  Police say 160 snowmobile drivers were stopped.  In total twenty charges were laid under the Motorised Snow Vehicle Act, two charges were given under the Liquor Licence Act and two charges were laid under the Fish and Wildlife Conservation Act.  Police also gave out twenty warnings.  For more information on safe snowmobiling visit  http://www.mto.gov.on.ca/english/safety/topics/snowmobile.shtml
