A community organization is feeling confident in the services it’s providing in Muskoka and Parry Sound.
The local chapter of the Canadian Mental Health Association was recently given the prestigious award of Qmentum (cue-MEN-tum) Accreditation with Commendation from Accreditation Canada.
Executive Director Diane Brown-Demarco says this is one step above the regular Accreditation award and has a very special meaning for herself and her employees.
Brown-Demarco says preparing and going through the accreditation process is very intensive and requires a lot of work from all of her staff.
She says accreditation isn’t currently required by the Canadian Mental Health Association, but more and more chapters are going through the process.
