Council has approved the DBA’s revitalization plan for Market Square Park. At last night’s meeting, council voted unanimously to accept the plan as outlined in the TD Green Streets grant application subject to modifications to accommodate the needs of the stakeholders and approval from council. A meeting of all the stakeholders of the park is hoped to be held sometime in mid-April and council is expected to vote on the revised plan the first week of May. The TD Green Streets grant is up to $15,000 which the Downtown Business Association is planning to use to plant nearly 200 trees and shrub to update the park.
