Parry Sound council split down the middle on decision to allow RBC to move

The decision on whether or not to allow RBC to move further away from downtown Parry Sound has been deferred.
On Tuesday night, Parry Sound council discussed a by-law amendment that would allow the RBC to move to a new location.
The resolution presented to council suggested the amendment be denied.
The Parry Sound Downtown Business Association presented their own case against the amendment, stating it would set a precedent to allow other businesses to move out of downtown.
The five councillors attending the meeting and the Mayor were split when voting on the resolution.
The resolution has been pushed until the next council meeting on December 20th.
