A new community centre for Carling could come with a price tag of about $1.5 million.
This from Carling Township staff, that have released a proposal for the new building to replace the 54-year-old former community centre.
That building was recently closed due to multiple issues including problems with structure and the electrical grid.
The proposed new building would have a number of features including a banquet hall, a large kitchen, a bar area with a pass through cooler and lots of storage.
The township is still taking in public opinion about the decision to build a new facility.
Staff held two public meetings recently and there is an online survey available until the end of the year.
