Report shows repairs needed for old Carling Community Centre may not be worth it

Repairs to the Carling Community Centre would end up close to the $500,000 mark.
This from a report completed by Steenhof Building Services Group, which was contracted by Carling Township to review the building.
The report cites multiple issues including mould and mildew as well as structural and electrical problems.
Officials say the building, which is just over half a century old, has reached the end of its useful life and is not worth investing more money into.
Township officials have held a public meeting on November 22nd and will hold another meeting December 3rd to discuss building a new facility.
