Ontario officials hold inquest into decade-old death of Penetanguishene Correctional Centre inmate

The province is undertaking an inquest into the death of former Penetanguishene Correctional Centre inmate.
On May 5th, 2004, 28-year-old Minh Tu died at Huronia District Hospital after being transferred from the correctional centre.
The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services is mandated to hold an inquest into his death to implement measures to prevent a similar death in the future.
The inquest will hear from four witnesses over a two-day period.
The hearing is scheduled to begin at 9:00am on January 30th at the Holiday Inn on Fairfield Road  in Barrie.
