The brass at the Northern Ontario School of Medicine will probably be grinning from ear to ear this Thursday in Sudbury. The school has organized a news conference to announce several million dollars it’s receiving for health and environmental research. It’s not known if the millions are coming from the provincial government or the private sector. The event includes a representative from Bruce Power and also Glenn Thibeault, the MPP for Sudbury and energy minister. Several high-ranking medical staff from the medical school are also part of the event. The announcement comes down at the school’s Laurentian University site.
