Clement concerned about tapping of journalists’ phones

The MP for Parry Sound Muskoka wants a federal review into whether journalists are having their phones monitored.  Tony Clement called for the review by the Department of Public Safety after reports in Quebec that police monitored the phones of seven journalists.  Clement says freedom of the press is a cornerstone to ensure we maintain a healthy and accountable democracy.  Clement is also wondering how many more instances there are of police spying on reporters that we don’t know about.
