Ever since the Parry Sound and Area Apiary got its start, the interest in the world of bees and bee keeping have been growing in the local area. To that end a seminar “Thinking of Beekeeping in 2017” is being held this week at Canadore College. The event will run from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. this Wednesday night and is free of charge. It will cover aspects of bee keeping including where to order your bees and basic equipment needs. The evening includes a visit to the local apiary as well as a chance to meet local bee keepers and sample local honey. Those interested need to pre-register by calling 705-746-9222.
