Town getting more money back from outstanding bills

Town of Parry Sound is losing less money since taking water and sewer billing in-house.  At last week’s council meeting, CAO Rob Mens explained that the Town had to write off approximately $145,000 in uncollectable bills at the end of December 2012.  Since taking over the billing, the Town passed a resolution to write off just about $22,000.  Mens explains where the remaining unpaid bills are coming from and how the Town will work towards not having to write off any money in the future.

Mens concludes by saying in the future, unless there are very extenuating circumstances, the Town will get its money.
