Lakeside property owners in Muskoka are blaming the MNRF for flood damages

Residents in Muskoka are lashing out against the MNRF following the excessive spring flood and the damage it caused.  A group of residents with properties on Lake Muskoka, Lake Joseph and Lake Rosseau are working together to submit a class action lawsuit against the government agency.  The group claims the MNRF is responsible for all damages to boat houses, boats and other structures caused by the flooding.  According to the group, the MNRF mismanaged the water levels in the region which caused the excessive amount of flood water.  There will be a community meeting for anyone affected by the flood held on Sunday at the Port Carling Community Centre at 9:30am.  Moose FM has reached out the MNRF to respond to this lawsuit.
