Local “Amazing Place” gets new signage

A local Amazing Place is getting new signage from an Ontario Trillium Foundation grant.

The grant was received earlier this year by the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve to connect Ontarians with three UNESCO Biosphere Reserves over 2 years by expanding the Amazing Places Conservation and Stewardship program. One of the Amazing Places in the Georgian Bay Biosphere Reserve is the Lynx Loop at Georgian Nordic Ski and Canoe Club that is used for cross-country skiing and mountain biking. As part of the funding, the trail is getting new signage and Wil Smith from Get Outdoors Parry Sound says new signs will help skiers, hikers and mountain bikers stay on the right trail loops, help people navigate, and improve safety. The presentation of the signage and an Ontario Trillium Foundation plaque will be presented at Georgian Nordic Ski and Canoe Club this Saturday.
