Private water samples from across the Parry Sound and North Bay districts are being delayed. Due to a potential Canada Post labour disruption, couriers are experiencing a significant increase in shipment volumes which has resulted in delayed deliveries of private water samples. Anyone who submitted a private water sample to the Health Unit on Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday of last week or this past Monday, your water sample may not have reached the Public Health Laboratory on time and may not be tested. Until further notice, the Health Unit will continue to collect private water samples at all locations including in Parry Sound every Monday from 7:30am until 3:00pm. The Health Unit apologizes for any inconvenience and we will advise the public when the situation is resolved.
