Family Fishing Week begins this weekend. Canadians can fish in Ontario without buying a licence during Family Fishing Week, which is July 2nd to 10th this year, but non-residents do need a licence. There are also many family-friendly fishing events taking place during Family Fishing Week in towns and provincial parks across Ontario with the Learn to Fish Program offered at six provincial parks. Anglers are reminded to follow the rules in the Ontario Fishing Regulations summary including fish limits and the illegal use of invasive species as bait.
