North East LHIN long-term care providers share ideas for delivering quality care to support older Northerners

Long term care providers in the North East LHIN have shared their ideas for delivering quality care to support older Northerners.  Senior representatives of the region’s 41 long-term care homes funded by the North East Local Health Integration Network met for the first time face-to-face last week to share ideas on how to enhance quality care for residents living in long-term care across Northeastern Ontario.  Participants learned about how technology, including electronic records, supports quality and seamless care.  Len Fabiano of Lakeland Long Term Care here in Parry Sound was one of the administrators and spoke about how his long-term care home is beginning a project to incorporate recreational technologies to respond to baby boomer residents and their expectations around internet access.
