Ontario Premier Congratulates Howell’s Gold Medal

It still seems like a dream that a freestyle skier from Huntsville made it to the podium.  Dara Howell is the first woman to bring home the gold in Slopestyle skiing.   Premier Kathleen Wynne took the time to speak with the Moose and says it’s great to have an Ontario athlete make that first.

Howell’s second run yesterday was the one that nabbed the win with a 94.20 score. Quebec’s Kim Lamarre also made it to the podium with bronze. This the first year Slopestyle has been introduced in the Winter Olympics.
