Ida Clairmont (nee Gobbo) passed away peacefully at the West Parry Sound Health CentreĀ on Sunday, June 19th, 2016 surrounded by loving family at the age of 95.
Beloved wife of the late Alvin, devoted mother to Wayne and Sherry of Phoenix, Arizona, NeilĀ and Joye of Binghamton, New York, Paul (deceased) and Cheryl of Espanola, Ontario, andĀ Jeannie of Cambridge, Ontario.
Cherished grandmother of Kelly (deceased), Kyle, Ryan, Breanne, Katie, Kalin, Casey, andĀ Shelby. Devoted āGGā to Kody, Kayla, Beckett, Emme, Ella, and Britain.
Dear sister of Andy. Predeceased by Art, Nora, Pete, Geno, Carlo, Rita, Alba, and Frankie.
Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews, and friends.
She loved playing cards, walking the trails, and doing an alley cat at line dancing. She was aĀ source of strength for her family, maintaining her independence, sense of humour, andĀ youthfulness throughout her life. Ida loved playing with her grandchildren and later in life, herĀ great grandchildren. She was not only a mother and grandmother, but a best friend.
Ida was an integral member of the Parry Sound community, proudly volunteering for over 60Ā years at various organizations, such as WPSHC Auxiliary, Royal Canadian Legion, CatholicĀ Womenās League, and Meals on Wheels.
Memorial visitation will be held at Loganās Funeral Home, 81 James Street, Parry Sound (705-746-5855), on Friday, June 24th, 2016 between 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00pm. MemorialĀ Mass at St. Peterās Roman Catholic Church, 52 Church Street, Parry Sound, on Saturday, JuneĀ 25th, 2016 at 10:00am.

Ida will be greatly missed and forever remembered as a cherished mother, grandmother, GG,Ā and friend.
