Crossing Guards are important in keeping your kids safe. Today is Crossing Guard Celebration Day in Parry Sound and the OPP wants to remind you crossing guards have a much bigger role than simply moving kids from one side to the other. Police say they make sure drivers are paying attention to the people around them and educate residents on how to obey traffic signals. Police are asking you to obey a crossing guard’s direction.
