Medals have come to Parry Sound after the National Jump Rope competition

The Georgian Jumpers returned home from the National Jump Rope competition with some hardware.  Over the May long weekend, the skippers travelled to Olds, Alberta to compete at the national championships.  The Junior Jumpers, Kennadie Nicksy, Claire Hatherly, Sophie Dumont and Sydney Stevens finished with the gold medal in the 10 and under age group.   Stephannie Weeks won gold in the 13-14 Masters Overall and was also awarded a Grand Champion title by winning silver in Grand Masters Endurance for all female ages attending competition.  Here are some other results from the event:

The Wonder Jumpers, as part of the 13-14 age category, finished 5th in team overalls.

Sydney Stevens received a 4th place in Masters freestyle.

Nicole Ritchie placed 5th in 15-17 Masters Overall.

Every member of the team competed well in their events, making coaches and parents very proud.  Many of the athletes also beat their personal or team record.
