Splash pad in Sundridge a reality

Make a Splash for Stacey Foundation can now make their splash pad dream a reality. The foundation was created in January 2013 to honour Stacey Stillar, a Sundridge teacher, who died of cancer. Stillar’s mother, Laura Sullivan was at the Songs for Stacey fundraiser over the weekend, and announced how much money they’ve raised so far.

Songs for Stacey was hosted by the South River Lions Club. President John Kellough says they gave the foundation a cheque for $4,000.

Meantime, the foundation was also the $70,000 grand prize winner of the Aviva Community Fund. Construction will start in spring and is set to open on Canada Day.
