Police have arrested a man in connection to a theft from the liquor store at the Foodland in Novar. Almaguin Highlands OPP says around 5:00pm last Wednesday an employee saw a man trying to steal a bottle of whiskey from the LCBO located in the grocery store and stopped him before he could leave. Officers arrived and arrested the 30-year-old man and charged him with theft under $5000 and being drunk in a public place. He’ll face those charges in a Sundridge court in February.
