Salvation Army exceeds Christmas campaign target

The Salvation Army is thanking everyone who contributed to their Christmas campaign.  Lieutenant Justin Gleadall says the Salvation Army surpassed their annual Christmas Campaign fundraising goal.  This year’s campaign raised a total of $144,122.43 of which $48,569.00 was donated from the Moose FM Christmas Radio-thon, $21,649.81 from the kettle campaign, and $73,903.62 from mail or walk in donations.  With the help of the community this year, The Salvation Army’s Christmas Assistance Program was able to provide food, clothing and toys to 825 individuals, 461 adults and 364 children.  Gleadall thanks the community for their support and reminds everyone that monies raised during the Christmas Campaign are are used to support the Army’s programs and services 365 days a year.
