Snow removal efforts continue in the Town of Parry Sound. Overnight, crews were able to clear most of the Stockey Center parking lot and a section of the downtown which Director of Operations Peter Brown hopes they can finsh tonight. Brown says during the day, staff is working on preventative measures ahead of the possible rains this weekend.

There is so much snow that has already been removed this winter that Brown is concerned about running out of space where they dump the snow. He says it’s not at the breaking point yet, but if we continue to get large snowfalls, the town might have to bring in special equipment to pile snow higher at the drop sites.
