Travelers can head to their destinations this morning as all highways in the Parry Sound area are open. Police opened all the highways in the West Parry Sound region by 7:00pm last night and sections of the 400 were slowly opened from Mactier to Barrie throughout the night. Yesterday afternoon 200km of Highway 400 was closed because of snow squalls causing nil visibility. Plows have been able to work through the night but police still encourage motorists to slow down and drive to road conditions. Reports have come in to say that a snow plow is stuck in the eastbound lane of Highway 124 near 9 Mile Lake Road and is partially blocking traffic.
