The second annual United Way hockey game was a success. Last Wednesday, members of the Almaguin Highlands OPP played a hockey game against senior students at Land of Lakes Public School and raised over $500.00. Police would like to thank the Burk’s Falls, Armour and Ryerson Township Committee for donating the ice time, South River Machar Fire Chief Risto Maki for refereeing, and everyone else who came out to support. They are looking forward to next year’s game.
