Black ice on highway cause slippery conditions

Reports of accidents are coming in this morning because of black ice.  The Britt Fire Department says there is a pick-up truck that’s crashed into rock cut in the southbound lanes of Highway 400 north of Avro Arrow Road while another caller reported a second crash in the southbound lanes of the highway just minutes from the Bowes Street exit.  Emergency services are on their way to both scenes and the fire department says roads in the region are very slick with patches of black ice.  No word on whether the highway will closed and we’ll have more information once we hear back from police.
