Winter storms hitting Ontario

A couple of winter storms are headed for Ontario this weekend.  The storm from Texas is already causing mixed precipitation in Southern Ontario, as expected, with rain in the southwest and freezing rain from Toronto to Kingston.  Here in the Parry Sound-Muskoka region we are only expected to get up to 10cm of snow with periods of freezing rain in some areas later today and tonight.  After a break tomorrow, Environment Canada says a more potent ice storm will hit Southern Ontario from Lake Erie to Ottawa but the weather agency is still trying to track the storm’s path.  Travellers should be prepared for dangerous winter travelling conditions while power outages may also be an issue to deal with.
