Michael Barker taking another crack at council

Michael Barker has announced he is running for Parry Sound council.

He previously served on council from 2001 to 2004. Barker says he feels residents are discouraged and morale is low:

Barker says the 11.5% unemployment rate in Parry Sound is a major issue. He says he does not understand why the unemployment rate is that high:

Barker adds with the lack of affordable housing and apartment rentals, it is difficult to make a living in Parry Sound. Despite the local issues, Barker says Parry Sound is an amazing town, and there are good things happening:

Barker is one of three people who announced this week that they are running for council, the other two are Roger Burden and Albert Fuller. Parry Sounders cast their ballots on October 22nd.
