The people have spoken and they want to see Mapstone in concert. The Stockey Centre and local musician Chris Mapstone set out on a crowd-funding agreement where if 150 tickets were sold by the end of July, a concert would be held next month. Marketing and Special Events Coordinator Greg Hancock says that as of Wednesday, the mark of 150 tickets was reached and the concert is a go for August 14th at 8:00pm. Chris has been touring the world for the past 10 years and always returns each year to Parry Sound, but says it is with deep gratitude that he has the opportunity to give back to the community and the land that has given him so much.
