Two people are dead after a crash on Highway 69. Around 2:00pm this afternoon, West Parry Sound OPP were called to a multi-vehicle crash just south of Pointe au Baril. Officers say a northbound pick-up truck tried to pass two Camper trucks and was forced to swear to miss a southbound SUV. The SUV hit the northbound camper truck head on. Both people in the SUV died of their injuries at the scene while the two people from the pick-up truck and two people from the camper truck were taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The investigation is continuing with the Highway closed in both directions. Northbound traffic is being detoured at Highway 124 and southbound traffic is being rerouted at Highway 522 to Highway 17.
